Grade 8 Boys

The grade 8 boys team complete their full year season on July 15/16/17 2005 with the Rocky Mountain
 Challenge Tournament at the University of Calgary.

 The team was formed in September and practiced twice a week until January.  In the New Year the
 practice schedule went to 2 practices one week and 3 practices the next.

 The boys participated in the following tournaments:
     October 2004 - St. Albert Fall Tournament
     November 2004 - Selects Fall Classic
     December 2004 - Jr. Trojans New Years Blowout
     April 2005 - Selects Spring Classic
     April 2005 - Outwest Opener
     May 2005 - Kodiak Growl
     June 2005 - Sheep River Shootout
     July 2005 - Great Canadian Shootout
     July 2005 - Rocky Mountain Challenge

 They also participated in the Jr. Trojan Spring League in Calgary this past spring..

 All told, the team had over 140 gym times, over 90 2-hour practice sessions, and played in over 50 tournament/league/exhibition games throughout the season.  The statistics are being compiled now and
 will be added at as soon as they are available.  The boys had a great season and would like to thank the following people for making this a year to remember:

• Coach Tony Tan - who coached the team from September 2004 to December 2004.
• Coach Ivor Lewis - who coached the team from January 2005 to July 2005
• Team Manager - Kim Thygesen for organizing virtually everything.
• Tournament Coordinator - Tim Anstett for his work on Spring and Fall Classics and lining up our season.

And all the other volunteers that make this such a special organization!

We are already at work planning an evening busier and better season for next year!
