Grade 10 Boys

Season Record: 19-4

The grade 10 boys team with a couple of grade 11 players and 1 grade 9
player will complete their spring/summer season this weekend (July 15-17)
with a tournament in Spokane Washington.
The team was created in late March with goals of being the best team in
their age group period and to prepare the boys for their upcoming high
school basketball season. They succeeded big time. None of their losses were
to teams in their age bracket but to teams who were older and more
experienced. The team had 28 practices overall this season along with 23
games posting a record of 19-4 prior to the Spokane Tournament.

With many or all players returning next season their goals and expectations
will be higher as they look are participating in the Airdrie Spring League
as well as playing in open divisions in many tournaments that they will
partake in next season. The following are results of the trojan spring
league and 3 tournaments that they participated in thus far:

Jr. Trojans Spring League  9-1  2nd place finish
Hornet Classic-Regina           1st place
Sheep River Shootout-Okotoks    3rd place
Stampede Shootout-Calgary       2nd place
Fire Fall Classic-Spokane          ?

The team thus far have had a very successful season and would like to thank a few people who helped make the season 1 to remember:

Coach Randy Peron
Tony Ianuzzi-for helping out with all internal paper work needed for
tournament registration etc.
Debbie Hone- for replacing Tony and continuing the great behind the scenes
work for the team
All other parents for their season long support for their sons and for the
team throughout the season. Your voices were heard many times during games throughout the season and the coach and all players appreciated it!

Stay tuned for results from the team's final tournament out in Spokane,
Washington.
